DA EXPANDS COMMUNITY PROSECUTION OFFICE INTO NORTH FULTON Veteran Prosecutor, Longtime North Fulton Resident to Lead Initiative Atlanta- Fulton County District Attorney Paul L. Howard, Jr. is pleased to announce the opening of a new community prosecution office in North Fulton County. The office will serve the citizens of Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Milton, Mountain Park, Sandy Springs, and Roswell under the direction of Executive Assistant District Attorney Todd Ashley. An open house is scheduled for August 14, 2009 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at 3155 Royal Drive, Suite 155, Alpharetta, Georgia 30022. Community Prosecution is a national concept which strategically places prosecutors in community-based offices for greater visibility and accessibility to residents. Implemented in 2000, the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office of Community Prosecution has been recognized for excellence both locally and nationally. There are currently five other Community Prosecution offices serving Atlanta and South Fulton County. Executive ADA Ashley joined the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office in 2001. During his tenure, he has served in various capacities, most recently as Deputy District Attorney leading the Juvenile Division of the DA’s office. Ashley was appointed to the community prosecution role in early July. He will work closely with North Fulton residents to address their public safety concerns and will assist local police agencies with the investigation, preparation and prosecution of cases. Ashley is a longtime North Fulton resident and currently resides in Milton.
