MOULDER BROTHERS RE-TRIAL POSTPONED

Judge Says More Time Needed to Complete Transcript of First Trial

Atlanta—The presiding judge in the burglary and animal cruelty case of Joshua and Justin Moulder has postponed their re-trial until further notice. In her order, Superior Court Judge Thelma W. C. Moore stated it was “due to the fact that the transcript of the original trial, which commenced on December 5, 2006 and ended in a mistrial due to a hung jury on December 15, 2006 and consisting of approximately 1200 pages, will not be completed until mid-January 2007.” The judge said the trial would be rescheduled “for a later date in the January-February term of court.”

17-year-old Joshua Moulder and 19-year-old Justin Moulder are each charged in a ten count indictment as follows:

1 count of aggravated cruelty to animals

2 counts of burglary

1 count of criminal damage to property in the 2nd degree

3 counts of making terroristic threats

3 counts of cruelty to children in the 2nd degree

Senior Assistant District Attorney Laura Janssen and Deputy District Attorney Ron Dixon are prosecuting the case.
