District Attorney Announces Guilty Plea in Georgia Tech Case Theodore Hollot Pleads Guilty to Reckless Conduct,
Disorderly Conduct AtlantaFulton County District Attorney Paul L. Howard, Jr. (Atlanta Judicial Circuit) announces that Theodore Hollot (19) has pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor counts, reckless conduct and disorderly conduct, and has been sentenced to serve 24 months on probation. While on probation, the defendant may have no contact with the victim, Stanley Goss, and must complete 100 hours of community service. The victim, who has recovered from the incident, was satisfied with the resolution. The charges stemmed from a 10 October 2005 incident on the campus of the Georgia Institute of Technology in which Hollot manufactured water-bottle bombs. One of the devices exploded, injuring Mr. Goss, an employee of the university. The incident resulted in units from not only the schools police department reporting to the scene but also from the Atlanta Police and Homeland Security Departments. Assistant District Attorney Tammi Fuller prosecuted the case. Officer R. Weaver of the Georgia Tech Police Department investigated. Judge Constance Russell presided.
