ALLEGED "REPO" MURDERER INDICTED

State vs. Justin Moore

Atlanta- A Fulton County Grand Jury has returned an indictment against 31-year old Justin Moore for the shooting death of Brandon Thomas, 27 and a passenger in the victim's tow truck. Moore is charged with Murder, Felony Murder, two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, two counts of Theft by Receiving Stolen Property, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony and Fleeing and Attempting to Elude.

The incident happened on November 12, 2009 as the victim was trying to repossess Defendant Thomas' car on Milam Loop in unincorporated Fulton County. The defendant allegedly fired several shots at driver Brandon Thomas and his passenger Willie Thackston. Thomas was struck in the chest and killed. Thackston was wounded but survived. Moore fled the scene and later led police on a chase at speeds above 120-miles an hour prior to the pursuit being terminated for safety reasons. Moore was arrested several days later in Dekalb County.

Following today's indictment, the case will assigned to a Fulton County Superior Court Judge and then scheduled for trial.
