District Attorney Paul Howard Announces Unanimous Supreme Court Decision in Little B Case Michael Lewis Conviction Upheld for 1997 Murder of
Darrell Woods AtlantaFulton County District Attorney Paul L. Howard, Jr. (Atlanta Judicial Circuit) announces that the State of Georgia Supreme Court has unanimously ruled that the November 1997 conviction of Michael Little B Lewis shall stand. The Court found that, while some minor errors occurred in the original trial, these were harmless and insufficient to outweigh the overwhelming evidence of the appellants guilt. We applaud the Courts decision in this matter and feel that it should finally bring an end to the frivolous contentions made over the years surrounding this case, says Mr. Howard. Michael Lewis was tried and convicted for a vicious, senseless crime that robbed an entire family of a dedicated father, loving son, and beloved brother and his sentence justly reflects that fact.
