Atlanta- Fulton County District Attorney Paul L. Howard,
Jr. announces a conviction by jury trial in the murder case against
Anastacia Jackson, age 25. Jackson was sentenced today to life plus
35 years for planning an armed robbery that resulted in the death of
32-year old Alton Sewell of Atlanta.
Sewell was gunned down in October 2008 at a BP gas station on Metropolitan

the driver and ordered him to "give it up" then fired a shot
striking him in his chest. He died a short time later at Grady Memorial
Hospital. A second gunman, meantime, robbed another man who was with
the defendant while she fled the scene. Jackson later admitted setting
up the robbery to steal the victim's money and drugs. She was convicted
of Felony Murder, two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon,
Criminal Attempt to Commit Armed Robbery, Conspiracy to Commit Armed
Robbery and Possession of a Firearm During a Felony.
