MOTHER AND SON ON TRIAL CHARGED W/KILLING MOTHER'S FEMALE LOVER

Testimony continues Monday in the murder trial of 43-year-old Tonya Miller and her 22-year-old son, Jabaris Miller, accused of killing the mother's lover. The two Millers are charged in a six-count indictment with murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, arson in the first degree, arson in the second degree and concealing the death of another. The victim, 55-year-old Cheryl Miranda, was beaten and stabbed to death sometime between February 27, 2005 and March 4, 2005. Her body was discovered on the latter date in her white truck parked on Welcome All Road in College Park. The vehicle had been set on fire. Chief Senior ADA Clint Rucker expects closing arguments to be presented early next week.
