PIMP GETS LIFE IN PRISON FOR RAPE, PROSTITUTION OF 15-YEAR OLD GIRL

Atlanta- An Atlanta area pimp well known to local authorities is off the streets of Fulton County for good. Jurors convicted 43-year old Shun Pierre Pinkston of Rape, Child Molestation and Pimping on Friday. He was immediately sentenced to Life Without Parole by Fulton County Superior Court Judge T. Jackson Bedford.

The victim, a 15-year-old girl, met the defendant, known to her as “Pierre” in June of 2009. A few days after their initial meeting, Defendant Pinkston took the girl to a hotel on Fulton Industrial Boulevard, provided her with money, marijuana and false identification then told her to rent a room. Pinkston then manipulated the teenager into making extra money by having “dates” or sex with men and told her not to accept less than $50 for her services. The teenager solicited one “date,” brought him up to the hotel room and afterwards told the defendant she no longer wanted to prostitute for him. Angry, the defendant then pushed the victim onto the bed and raped her. Pinkston was later identified from a photographic line-up as the victim’s attacker and arrested.

The case was prosecuted by Senior Assistant District Attorney Michele McCutcheon of the Crimes Against Women and Children’s Unit with assistance from Senior ADA Faye Rosenbaum. DA Investigator Greg Patterson led the internal investigation efforts with assistance from Chief DA Investigator Cynthia Nwokocha and DA Investigator Garielle Booker-Parks. Detective R. Randolph of the Fulton County Police Department led the initial investigation.
