OPENING STATEMENTS IN CNN CENTER MURDER TRIAL TOMORROW Arthur Mann Charged with Murder and Assault in April 2007 Shooting at the Popular Tourist Destination Jury selection is completed and opening statements begin at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 26th in the notorious murder case of 40-year-old Arthur Mann of Fairburn accused in the shooting death of Clara Riddles at CNN Center. The 22-year-old victim was attempting to end her relationship with the defendant, who lived at her parents' home, though she had moved out. Mann is charged with one count of murder, 3 counts of felony murder and one count each of kidnapping with bodily injury, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in the April 2007 murder that sent guests and employees of the busy complex scurrying. The case is being prosecuted by Senior Assistant District Attorneys Eleanor Ross and Tanya Miller of the Major Case Unit before Superior Court Judge Jerry W. Baxter.
