FULTON COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY’S OFFICE OFFERS AMNESTY FOR RETURN OF STOLEN GOODS PURCHASED

Atlanta - We have received an overwhelming response to the press conference held earlier today regarding the recent arrests of burglary suspects who engaged in the sale of stolen home appliances via websites such as Craig’s List and Kijiji.com.

Citizens have already called in indicating purchases of goods from the three named defendants. These citizens have asked whether law enforcement officials and the District Attorney’s Office are offering an amnesty period. Accordingly, we are offering a 30-day amnesty period to those who turn in stolen property purchased from the three named suspects and are willing to cooperate in our on-going investigation of this matter. The amnesty period will end April 2, 2010.
