REGINALD BRONER FACES LIFE IN PRISON FOR MURDER OF JULIAN BEASLEY DEFENDANT FOUND GUILTY IN 2002 SHOOTING DEATH Atlanta-Fulton County District Attorney Paul L. Howard,
Jr. (Atlanta Judicial Circuit) announces that Reginald Broner (39) has
been found guilty of murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, and
possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony for the 2
January 2002 shooting death of Julian Beasley (29). Broner shot and
killed Mr. Beasley at the intersection of Murphy and Decker Avenues
in southwest Atlanta following an ongoing dispute over drugs. Senior Assistant District Attorneys Keith Hasson and Ron Boyter prosecuted the case; Atlanta Police Detective R. Walden investigated; and Judge Bensonetta Tipton Lane presided.
