Fredrick Khalees Sentenced to Life in Prison Plus
40 Years for Murder of Kevin Davis
AtlantaFulton County District Attorney Paul L. Howard, Jr. (Atlanta Judicial Circuit) announces that, following his conviction, Fredrick Khalees (32) was sentenced to life in prison plus 40 years (to be served consecutively) for the 4 August 2002 murder of Kevin Davis (32). Khalees was found guilty of malice murder, felony murder (two counts), aggravated assault, aggravated battery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Khalees shot and killed Mr. Davis, a longtime friend, in front of the home of a mutual acquaintance at 2750 Ocean Valley Drive in College Park as revenge for the victims withholding of money needed for the defendants bond on an earlier charge. Senior Assistant District Attorney Clint Rucker prosecuted the case,
Judge Gino Brogdon presided, and Fulton County Police Detective G. Patterson
investigated.
