GUILTY PLEA EXPECTED IN ‘DOG CAGE’ PIMPING CASE

Victim Beaten for Trying to Escape Life of Prostitution

Atlanta- An alleged pimp is scheduled to plead guilty this morning in connection with the assault of a woman who tried to escape a life of prostitution. 29-year-old David Walker will appear before Fulton County Superior Court Judge Alford Dempsey in plea proceedings scheduled for 11:00 this morning in courtroom 5-D.

Walker faces charges of Aggravated Assault, Pimping, Pandering and False Imprisonment. The charges stem from the April 1, 2010 assault on a 21-year old woman who was ordered beaten by co-workers for trying to escape her life as a prostitute. She was then forced to sleep in a feces and urine-lined dog cage used to house a pit bull. The victim was discovered by police following a tip and hospitalized for her injuries.
