EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF VICTIM SERVICES APPOINTED
The Office of the Fulton County District Attorney is pleased to announce the appointment of Nicole Lesser, MSW, LICSW as the Executive Director of Victim Services. In this newly created role, Nicole will be supervising current Victim Service Unit programs (such as VWAP and Child Support Enforcement) and developing new programs for victims. In addition, she will partner with community and state-wide stakeholders on initiatives to improve the rights of crime victims in Georgia.
Nicole will begin full-time in her new position on July 7, 2008. She and her family are relocating from Boston, Massachusetts. Prior to joining the DAs office, she directed a comprehensive, culturally competent, faith-based program for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking for eight years. In that role, Nicole collaborated with law enforcement and criminal justice agencies through participation in community roundtables, state and national coalitions, and legislative advocacy efforts. With victims rights as her guiding compass, Ms. Lesser is committed to creating systemic change through collaborative relationships.
