Sandy Springs Drug Dealer Gets 20 Years in Prison Defendant Shah Amin Guilty of Trafficking in Methamphetamine AtlantaFulton
County District Attorney Paul L. Howard, Jr. (Atlanta Judicial
Circuit) announces that, following his conviction, Shah Amin (37) has
been sentenced to 20 years in prison (plus five years to be served on
probation) for drug trafficking. He was found guilty of trafficking
in methamphetamine and possession of a firearm during the commission
of a felony. On 24 March 2005, following surveillance at a Sandy Springs
apartment complex, the defendant and another man, Keith Riccitelli (30)
were stopped near Roswell Road and the Glenridge Connector by police.
A search of the vehicle by the officers and their K-9 unit revealed
approximately 95 grams of methamphetamine, Gamma hydroxy butyrate, and
a firearm. Senior Assistant District Attorney Richele Anderson prosecuted the case. Officers J. Burnette and K. Smith of the Fulton County Police Department, along with Jimmy Knox of the District Attorney's Office, investigated. Judge Thomas Campbell presided.
