GODMOTHER PIMPS GODCHILD FOR 40-DOLLARS

Susan Carrie Plied the Girl with Liquor and Supplied Condoms

Fulton County District Attorney Paul L. Howard, Jr. announces the conviction this week of 43-year-old Susan Carrie of Hapeville, Georgia on one count of child molestation for pimping her 15-year-old goddaughter and that child's 16-year-old best friend. In June 2004, the girls were visiting the metro area from Florida when Carrie forced her goddaughter to have sex with the co-defendant in this case, Timothy Bridges. Carrie gave the girls liquor and provided Bridges with condoms. Bridges paid her $40 for the use of the bedroom in her home. When the goddaughter rebuffed Bridges, the girls testified Carrie took off her clothes and had sex with him in front of them.

Charged with statutory rape, child molestation, enticing a child for indecent purposes, pimping and pandering, on Monday, June 25th, the jury found the defendant guilty of child molestation. Judge Christopher Brasher gave her a 20-year sentence. She must serve 15 years in prison; the remaining 5 on probation. She must register as a sex offender and refrain from contact with any children except her own 7-year-old daughter. Bridges' trial date has not been set.

The case was prosecuted by Senior Assistant District Attorney Hilton Miller with assistance from Senior ADA Lawanda Hodges. It was investigated by Officer D. Baker of the Hapeville Police Department, Fulton County DA Investigator Cindy Williamson and Janel Wheeler served as the DA's Victim-Witness advocate.
