ATLANTA DRUG DEALER FOUND GUILTY IN DOUBLE MURDER

A jury found Christopher Allen James guilty on all counts in the double murder of Jeremiah Ingram and Fatima Fisher.  James and three co-defendants are accused of murdering Ingram and Fisher over missing drugs.  The defendant (age 22) was charged with two counts each of murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, kidnapping with bodily harm and possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony.  James was sentenced to two consecutive life sentences plus five years.

On August 20, 2005, the victims were discovered bound and executed at 1220 Gun Club Road in Atlanta.  Jeremiah Ingram (age 20) was found with his hands tied behind him with a fatal gunshot wound to the head.  Fatima Fisher (age 23) was found a few feet away with multiple gunshot wounds to her head and arm.  A witness identified James and his three co-defendants as the persons responsible for abducting the two victims and killing them.  Statements from James and two of his co-defendants place all four with the victims on the night of the murders.  Each of the defendants is being tried separately.  Herman Lawson (age 24) was found guilty in an earlier trial.  The remaining defendants awaiting trial include Bruce Roberts (age 22) and Michael Jenkins (age 24).

Superior Court Judge Marvin Arrington presided over the case.  It was prosecuted by Senior Assistant District Attorney Linda Dunikoski.  Lead Detective on the case was APD Detective M. M. Cooper.  The case was investigated by David White and James Higgins of the Fulton County District Attorney’s Investigations Unit.
