Shuemake on June 30, 2004 in the parking lot of a Buckhead restaurant. Waters is charged with murder, felony murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Witnesses say Waters and 27-year-old Shuemake met at the T.G.I.Fridays on Peachtree Street in Atlanta to try to resolve a beef they had with each other. Investigators believe Waters owed Shuemake money for illegal drugs. They talked for about an hour, then left together by the front door. Witnesses say once outside, Waters pulled out a semi-automatic handgun and fired at Shuemake at least 8 times, hitting him in the back, the neck and the arm. Shuemake was unarmed, he was pronounced dead at Grady Hospital. Several witnesses were able to provide police with a positive identification of Waters as the shooter and the truck in which he fled.
