Henry Jones Sentenced to Life in Prison for Murder of Pierre Delahoussaye Defendant Shot Victim Following Argument over Drugs Atlanta-Fulton County District Attorney Paul L. Howard, Jr. (Atlanta Judicial Circuit) announces that, following his conviction, Henry Jones (57) has been sentenced to life in prison (plus five years) for the 28 October 2003 murder of Pierre Delahoussaye (47). Jones was found guilty of murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. The defendant shot Mr. Delahoussaye once after an argument at 1730 Bankhead Highway in northwest Atlanta. Jones had given the victim $10 to purchase crack cocaine for him, and, when the victim returned without the money or the drugs, the defendant shot him through the eye and dragged his body into the front yard of the rooming house where they both were living. Crack, meth, heroinregardless of the variety, illegal drugs cause death and misery every day in this community, says Mr. Howard. It is time for Atlanta and Fulton County to recognize that Henry Jones and Pierre Delahoussaye are simply the latest statistic in the battle we are waging against drugs and the crimes they inevitably breed. Senior Assistant District Attorney Brett Pinion prosecuted the case. Atlanta Police Detective M. Cooper, along with G.G. Carawan of the District Attorneys Office, investigated. Senior Judge Crosby presided.
