Former College Park City Court Clerk Indicted for Theft by Taking Sharon Stanley indicted on charges of stealing more than $40,000 Fulton County District Attorney Paul L. Howard Jr. announces the indictment of 43-year old former College Park City Court Clerk Sharon Yvette Stanley on one count of felony theft by taking. Stanley was indicted by the Fulton County Grand Jury on Tuesday, August 28, 2007 following an investigation by the Fulton County DA's Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. The City of College Park discovered over $40,000 in missing funds from the city's cash bond fund during an October 2003 audit. After an extensive investigation, the District Attorney's Office prepared an indictment, which charged Stanley with taking unauthorized cash from the cash bond fund and depositing it into her personal bank account. The charge carries a maximum possible sentence of one to15 years in prison and a $100,000 fine or both. Stanley worked for the city of College Park for six years before she was terminated in November 2003.
