GUILTY! BROTHERS TO SPEND LIFE IN JAIL FOR GUNNING
DOWN ATLANTA MAN On October 11, 2005 the two men stormed the home of 33-year old Amady Seydi and his girlfriend Tarah Medsker at the Azalea Park Apartments in Atlanta. Seydi was shot 9 times with two different guns. He died on the scene with fatal wounds to his head, chest and limbs. Medsker, who witnessed the shooting along with another man, identified the brothers as the gunmen, even though Joseph Gadson wore a mask during the crime. Investigators say just two days before the murder, the Gadsons kicked their way into Seydi's apartment terrorizing him and his girlfriend. They robbed the couple of a gun and cell phone. Police later arrested the brothers at Nkosi Gadson's Dunwoody apartment where they had barricaded themselves. Authorities recovered a gas mask and ski mask, hand cuffs, bullets and the victim's stolen cell phone from the earlier robbery. The two admitted to police they knew Seydi through previous drug deals with him and said they had recently argued and fought with him. Shortly before his murder, Seydi was planning to move away from the apartment to "get away from the Gadson Brothers". Nkosi and Joseph Gadson were both sentenced to life plus 45 years. Superior Court Judge Michael Johnson presided over the case. It was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Shondeana Morris and Lance Cross. Kurtis Young formerly of the Fulton County Police Department was the Lead Detective. Young is now a member of the Fulton County District Attorney's Investigations Unit.
