Fulton County Grand Jury Indicts Two Home Invaders
On Armed Robbery and Aggravated Assault Charges

Police say Tremain Lovelace and LaNorris Moore fired a hail of bullets
outside of 964 Dekalb Avenue on August 25, 2007

Fulton County District Attorney Paul L. Howard Jr. announces the indictment today of 17-year old Tremain Lovelace and 18-year-old LaNorris Moore in connection with an August 27, 2007, home invasion and robbery at 992 Dekalb Avenue, NE in Atlanta. The two defendants are accused of firing 35-40 bullets at the residence during the assault on the residence.

According to the officer who responded to the incident, he arrived at the home and found it riddled with bullet holes. A witness told investigators that he heard gunshots and went outside his residence to investigate and observed two men running from the scene toward the Inman Park MARTA Station. The witness provided a description of Lovelace and Moore, which was provided to other officers including MARTA police.

MARTA police found the two men inside the Inman Park station. Lovelace was apprehended at the station while Moore attempted to escape on foot; however, he was located on Hardee Street.

In the meantime, investigators spoke with the victims at the residence where the incident occurred. They told police officers that they were sitting in the residence when they heard gunfire and realized that the residence was the target of the gunshots. All of the victims with the exception of one decided to escape the assault by jumping from a second story window. When one victim jumped from the opening, she fell face first onto the pavement knocking out several teeth. Two other victims suffered broken feet because of the second story jump.
The defendants are accused of entering the home and stealing wallets that belonged to two of the victims.

Lovelace and Moore face numerous charges including aggravated assault with intent to rob, armed robbery, aggravated battery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, burglary and criminal damage to property in the first degree.
