SANDY SPRINGS MAN GETS 25 YEARS FOR MOLESTING DAUGHTER
State vs. Hillario Villasana
Fulton County District Attorney Paul L. Howard, Jr. announces the conviction by guilty plea of Hillario Villasana of Sandy Springs. Villasana, 55, was charged with Rape, Aggravated Sodomy, Child Molestation and Incest. The defendant pled guilty to all charges on November 7, 2008---a day before trial was set to begin. He was sentenced to 25 years in prison plus life on probation.
Authorities say Villasana repeatedly molested his 9-year old daughter for several months during 2007. The investigation revealed the defendant would fondle and have sex with the child inside his bedroom when the mother was away from the home. He would often lock the door so the other children could not come in. In August of 2007, the victim told her mother what was happening to her. She was immediately taken to Scottish Rite Childrens Hospital for an examination which revealed vaginal injuries. Villasana was later arrested and admitted to having inappropriate contact with the victim.
Superior Court Judge Wendy Shoob presided over the case. It was prosecuted by Senior Assistant District Attorney Yolanda Mack of the Crimes Against Women and Childrens Unit with assistance from Garielle Booker-Parks of the Fulton County District Attorneys Investigations Unit. Detective Tiffany Davis of the Sandy Springs Police Department lead the initial investigation.
