Veronica Fuller Sentenced to Life in Prison for Murder of Wilburt White Defendant Found Guilty in 2002 Stabbing Atlanta-Fulton County District Attorney Paul L. Howard, Jr. (Atlanta Judicial Circuit) announces that, following her conviction, Veronica Fuller (24) has been sentenced to life in prison plus five years for the 9 July 2002 stabbing death of Wilburt White (50). Fuller was found guilty of felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a knife during the commission of a felony. Fuller had given the victim $30 with which to purchase beer for her earlier in the day. When Mr. White did not return with the beer or the money by late that evening, the defendant went looking for him. She encountered him at 101 Auburn Avenue where she demanded her money back. When the victim said he did not have it, she stabbed him once in the stomach. He died a short distance from Grady Memorial Hospital. Senior Assistant District Attorney Brett Pinion prosecuted the case, Atlanta Police Detective Mike Carter investigated, and Judge Rowland Barnes presided.
